How it works

1. You add the address(es) of your San Diego short-term rentals to your watchlist.
2. We continuously monitor the City of San Diego open data portal for changes to STRO licenses and STR-related complaints.
3. When a new complaint is filed against your address, the case status changes, or your license tier or expiration changes, we email you as soon as we see it.
4. We also send renewal reminders 60, 30, and 7 days before your license expires — and on the day it expires.

The City of San Diego publishes its open data on its own schedule. We pull updates as soon as the city makes them available, so you usually hear about a change within an hour or so of it being published — but the city itself may take time to publish a complaint after it's filed.
